Overview
Barcelona breathed life back into the La Liga title race with a thrilling 3-2 win over arch-rivals Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on 23 April. The Catalan giants are on a 19-game unbeaten run at Camp Nou across all competitions.
Brazilian forward Neymar is suspended for the visit of Osasuna, while Jeremy Mathieu and Rafinha are both out through injury.
Osasuna squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Sporting Gijon at El Sadar on 22 April. The Pamplona-based side have lost four of their last five league meetings with Barcelona.
Petar Vasiljevic has called up four players from the youth team for the trip to Barcelona, as he only has 15 first-team players at his disposal. David Garcia, Alex Berenguer, Javier Flano, Miguel Flano, Didier Digard and Tano Bonnin are all sidelined through injury.
What managers say
Luis Enrique: "I don't have the feeling we're favourites [to win the La Liga title] now. Madrid have a game more than us [to play], so can move back ahead of us. Both teams will have a difficult time between now and end of the season. There will be surprises, for sure, and results people don't expect. We have to be prepared and make sure we don't slip up." Petar Vasiljevic: "I've already said that we need a plan for [Lionel] Messi and the players told me [that we need to] carry handcuffs and a pistol. He disconnects, but later he plugs [himself] in for 10 minutes and does what he does. We have to go out and compete, without fear. We know what level we're going to find. They are performing very well and any player, with the quality they have, can determine a match." [via ESPN]
