The Bastard Executioner trailer and premiere: Kurt Sutter warns 'there will be blood' as filming wraps up
Kurt Sutter, the creator of Sons Of Anarchy, has finally finished filming his upcoming medieval drama The Bastard Executioner.
Sutter started filming his next big series for FX in Wales on 9 March and wrapped up the production of TBX's pilot episode on 23 April.
The show creator shared the news with his fans through his Instagram account. "We have wrapped," Sutter said adding, "thank you to my extraordinary production team and my brilliant cast. I measure my creative experiences by surprises. If the good outweigh the bad, I'm satisfied. But if the good make you forget the bad, I'm fulfilled."
The 54-year-old show creator has also shared some on-set pictures of Lee as the bastard executioner and warned fans that "there will be blood."
Australian actor Lee Jones is playing the show protagonist Wilkin Brattle, one of King Edward I's knights.
The highly anticipated historical drama will narrate the morally complex life of the executioner Wilkin, who is "emotionally deep and spiritually tortured."
Katey Sagal aka Gemma Teller will play an important role in the series and share screen space with her husband.
Sutter is playing the faceless character of the Dark Mute in the medieval drama, who will guide Sagal's character, Annora of the Alders.
Stephen Moyer and Sam Spruell will be seen playing other important characters in the gritty medieval drama by FX networks.
The plot of the series is based on the 14th century during King Edward II's reign. The story will narrate the life of a knight of King Edward I who is ravaged and broken by the continuous wars.
He vows to lay down his sword but eventually fate hands him the bloodiest sword of all and he turns into an executioner.
The trailer of the Bastard Executioner is yet to be released, however the series will premiere on FX Network during summer this year.
