BATE Borisov v Barcelona, Champions League: Where to watch live, preview, betting odds and possible XI
Barcelona will be out to secure their first away win in Europe this season, when they travel to Belarus to take on BATE Borisov, on 20 October.
Where to watch live
Kick-off is set for 7.45pm BST. The game will be broadcast live on BT Sport Extra.
Overview
BATE Borisov secured their first points in the Champions League campaign with a stunning 3-2 home win over Roma on matchday two -- their fourth successive home victory in the competition including the qualifying rounds. The Belarusian champions had lost their opening match 4-1 at Bayer Leverkusen.
Aleksandr Yermakovich's side last faced defending European champions Barcelona in the group stage of the 2011/12 Champions League, losing both fixtures with an aggregate score of 9-0. They are without Maksim Zhavnerchik, who is out with an ankle injury and Vitali Rodionov who has problems with his knee.
Meanwhile, Barcelona came from behind to thump Rayo Vallecano 5-2 in the La Liga on 17 October, with Neymar scoring four goals. The Catalans are top of Group E after their hard-fought win over Leverkusen on matchday two.
Lionel Messi, Rafinha (both have suffered knee injuries) and Andres Iniesta (hamstring) will be out for the game.
What managers say
Aleksandr Yermakovich: "I can't say BATE are ready to beat everyone – today our plan worked [against Roma] but I can't say it'll be the same tomorrow. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. We need to take it step by step. We were solid for 60–70 minutes. I don't distinguish between defenders and forwards, because we attack as a team and defend as a team. We talked a lot before the game about psychology, which is a key factor for us."
Luis Enrique: "Neymar is electric and at the moment defenders only have two choices when facing him: commit a penalty or let him score. In one word, he was breathtaking."
