Batman v Superman: First trailer release date confirmed; Jared Leto threatens to kill in his menacing Joker voice [Video]
Looks like the eagerly-awaited Batman v Superman trailer has finally got a release date.
According to a Collider report, the film's first trailer is "absolutely attached" to the upcoming Warner Bros film - Mad Max: Fury Road which releases on 15 May 2015.
"After speaking with a few sources, I'm happy to report the first Batman v Superman trailer is on the cusp of being released. I'm told it's absolutely attached to all copies of Mad Max: Fury Road."
The report goes on to state that WB studio is waiting for the Avengers: Age of Ultron hype to settle down before they unveil the Batman v Superman trailer. And Mad Max: Fury Road will release a good two weeks after Avengers 2 which opens on 1 May.
It does seem like a good business decision. Avengers 2 is one of the biggest films of this year and a hugely-anticipated sequel to the 2012 Marvel blockbuster - The Avengers. Also, with the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer scheduled to release alongside the Marvel film, there's very little chance of fans talking about anything else during that period.
"What I've heard is that Warners isn't sure it wants to release the trailer while Avengers: Age of Ultron is destroying records and driving all social traffic during the end of April and early May.
"If they wait until the weekend Mad Max opens on May 15th, Avengers will have already been out for two weeks and they can take over the conversation at a time when everyone is ready to talk about Batman and Superman. The bottom line is: we will absolutely have seen the first Batman v Superman trailer by May 15th," adds the report.
Meanwhile, Jared Leto continues to tease his version of The Joker in the upcoming supervillain team-up flick, Suicide Squad. Check out Leto's latest video where he seems to be in an all out Joker mode.
Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice opens on 25 March, 2016 while Suicide Squad is slated for release on 5 August, 2016.
