Welsh-based firm BCB International has shown IBTimes UK how its ground-to-air signal balloon for extracting soldiers from drop zones works.
The location marker balloon can float high above any jungle or forest to a height of 250 feet and is visible from six miles away, even at night. A soldier can operate the air signal balloon by using inert helium gas to inflate it within minutes.
