Bella Hadid 'hurt' to see ex The Weeknd flaunting his love for Selena Gomez at Met Gala
'Bella wants to move on from Abel and wishes the best,' claims the report.
Fans loved seeing Selena Gomez and The Weeknd's adorable public display of affection at Met Gala in New York City on Monday night (1 May). However, the rapper's ex- Bella Hadid, who too attended the glamour night, was not a fan of their "heavy" PDA.
According to a report in Hollywood Life, the model is "hurt" to see her ex Abel Tesfaye with his lady love at the fancy night. An insider told the gossip website, "Bella [Hadid] is crushed after having to see Selena [Gomez] look so in love with Abel [Tesfaye] at the Met Ball."
The singer couple wasn't shy about showing their affection, as they shared a hug and a kiss while making their red carpet debut arrival at the 69th annual Gala. The report alleged that Hadid is hurt to see her ex-boyfriend happy with Gomez.
The source continued, "Selena and Abel really looked like a stunning couple at the ball and it hurt Bella's heart to see her ex, in person, look so happy with his gorgeous new girlfriend."
"Bella wants to move on from Abel and wishes the best for him, but it was hard for her to see all of the heavy PDA right in front of her face at the Met Ball," the insider revealed.
The former couple avoided running into each other all night. An E! News report said, "Selena and The Weeknd were really lovely. They were low-key and understated but he was very attentive to her."
The source continued, "There was no sign of Bella anywhere near them. Bella was actually still outside going through the exhibit while Selena and The Weeknd were at dinner. You have to go through the exhibit to end up in the Temple of Dendur room where the dinner is, so Bella mainly stuck back hanging with friends laughing and having fun."
The Kill Em With Kindness singer was dressed in a light pink Coach gown while her beau was in a classic tuxedo. The 20-year-old supermodel rocked a sheer, curve-hugging Alexander Wang catsuit.
