Better Call Saul season 3 episode 6 has a Saul Goodman reference: What next for Jimmy and Chuck?
Chuck pushes himself to the limit in the upcoming episode of Better Call Saul.
Better Call Saul season 3 returns with new episodes this Monday, 15 May at 10pm EST on AMC Network where the sibling rivalry between Jimmy and his brother Chuck McGill gets intense. Besides, there is a big reference to Saul Goodman.
Episode 6 is titled, Off Brand, and the official synopsis reads as follows:
Jimmy has a new endeavour; Chuck pushes himself to the limit; Nacho finds himself in a power struggle.
A promo for the upcoming episode shows Howard telling Chuck, "You are at the crossroads. Jimmy is just not worth it." We also see Jimmy in a car with a couple of youngsters. "Is everything okay?" asks one teenager to which the lawyer replies, "No!"
Later, we see Jimmy trying to smooth-talk a customer by telling him, "What I did for me, I will do that for you." Chuck's wife, Rebecca, is telling someone, "You got what you wanted, it's time to do things right." We also find Nacho trying to deal with some kind of a power struggle.
Jimmy and Kim are seen talking about what they can do next as the promo ends with Kim saying, "Saul Goodman."
In the previous episode, the courtroom drama built up to a climactic showdown between the McGill brothers and it looks like Jimmy won. During the hearing, Jimmy pulled a trick and proved that Chuck's electronic sensitivity might all be in his head, leading to Chuck's meltdown and his utter contempt for his brother.
Chuck yells, "This chicanery? He's done worse! He defecated through a sun roof and I saved him! I shouldn't have! I should have stopped him when I had the chance! And you have to stop him! You..."
He stops, but the damage is done, as the expressions on the faces of the disciplinary board members say it all.
