Beyonce and Jay Z fork out $600,000 for nannies to help with Carter twins Rumi and Sir
Music power couple have hired six nannies to help with their childcare needs.
Balancing a successful music career while raising children is no easy feat. Throw newborn twins into the mix and the sleepless nights start to take their toll.
With a billion dollar empire to protect, Beyonce and Jay-Z have decided to get some assistance to help them stay on their A-game. According to US OK! magazine, the power couple have hired an army of six nannies to take care of Rumi and Sir.
"The twins don't sleep at the same time, so she decided she needed three per child, working in eight-hour shifts," a source said.
They haven't skimped on the cost of the support either because each member of staff will earn a handsome $100,000 (£84,000) a year.
With two nannies already on hand to look after their five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, it means the family now have a total of eight nannies working around the clock.
Their recent purchase of an eight-bedroom mansion in Los Angeles means they definitely have the room to accommodate their growing workforce. TMZ reported in June that the property, which sits on 1.86 acres, set them back a whopping $130m. It also boasts 11 bathrooms, four pools, a basketball court, spa and a recording studio.
"LA is their home base now, and this is where Blue goes to preschool," a source previously told People. They're all very happy in LA."
Queen Bey gave birth to Rumi and Sir via C-section on 13 June at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. She introduced her new additions to the world exactly one month later via Instagram.
The picture, which has almost 10 million likes, matched the 'earth mother' aesthetic of The Love On Top singer's pregnancy announcement and shows the 35-year-old star surrounded by flowers and draped in a purple floral sheet, while she cradles her boy and girl.
She announced she was pregnancy In February, telling fans: " We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. – The Carters."
Meanwhile, further details have been revealed about the delivery. According to the birth certificate, Rumi arrived at 5:13am before Sir came into the world moments later.
Unlike their big sister Blue Ivy, the babies don't have middle names and Dr Paul Crane − who delivered all of Kim Kardashians' kids − was the man Beyonce and Jay Z enlisted to bring their bundles of joy into the world.
