Beyonce spends £200k on diamond-encrusted stilettos to wear in her next video
If the old-age sayings "diamonds are a girl's best friend" and "women love shoes" are to be believed, then Beyonce might have just struck gold.
The Drunk in Love hitmaker is said to have splashed out a blockbuster £200k ($311k) on a pair of diamond-encrusted House of Borgezie Princess Constellation stilettos.
According to the Daily Mail, the shoes which are touted as "the eighth wonder of the world" will make their debut in the singer's new music video, which drops this autumn.
Chris Shellis, owner of House of Borgezie, told the Birmingham Mail: "It's the ultimate, Beyonce's one of those fantasy customers.
He added: "If you want someone to model your creations, you can't get any better than Beyonce. I've been told the stilettos are for her next video which should be out in the autumn."
Lucky for the mother-of-one her shoes which features 1,290 precious stones, come with a 1,000-year guarantee.
Queen B's elaborate purchase was not the end of her shopping spree. She is said to have also added a gem-studded, gold Basque belt, worth £55,000, to her basket.
The blingtastic items are not the first extravagant purchases to be added to the former Destiny's Child star's closet. She also has standout pieces from high-fashion brands like Balmain, Versace and Diesel as well as a python and iguana leotard and sequin embellished corsets over the years.
Since launching the Constellation collection in May 2014, Shellis has sold two pairs to date. One purchaser lives in Dubai. "These are the ultimate in feminine adornment, they're the crown jewels of stilettos," he said. "They're truly regal and have been created to be a world treasure – guaranteed to still be here in a thousand years time.
He added: "They'll make any woman feel like a princess."
