Cuoco also spoke to Entertainment Tonight about Penny's "itch" to start a family with Leonard.
The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco has shared a hilarious photo featuring her onscreen character Penny Hofstadter in a new hairdo on social media.
The 31-year-old actress uploaded a photo from this Thursday's (9 November) episode of CBS series' 11th season, where Penny is seen sporting top buns, almost inspired by Princess Leia from Star Wars movies, which Cuoco calls the "penny-do".
Alongside the Instagram photo, she wrote, "Tonight's all new episode @bigbangtheory_cbs contains lots of laughs and adorable hair @faye.woodsbringing back the Penny-do!"
Cuoco's 3.3 million Instagram followers are in love with Penny's hair in the episode as one user wrote in the comments section, "Loved the hair and the faces. She can do no wrong," another noted, " thought the episode was hilarious Especially Penny's character."
A fan of Cuoco commented, "Finally old school Penny! Cute adorable and funny! Love the hair, Kaley! The second I saw it I melted!" another complimented her hairstyle, saying, "About time we see some of the old Penny we fell in love with!!"
In this Thursday's episode, Sheldon asked for Penny's advice to deal with a work conundrum. Sheldon wanted to work with geologist Bert, but he doesn't want anybody to find out that he is working with a geologist. Their conversation ended with the physicist making fun of Penny's promiscuous past.
Elsewhere, Cuoco also recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight about Penny's itch to start a family with on-screen husband Leonard.
When asked if Bernadette's second pregnancy may encourage her character to start a family with Leonard, The CBS star replied, "I think it's causing like, the itch. You know when your girlfriends start getting married or having kids, you go, 'Oh, should I be doing this too?'"
She continued, "I think with Leonard and Penny, they're starting to talk about that too, and saying, 'Oh my god, are we behind?' But I think they're right where they need to be and I don't think we need another baby on set."
The Big Bang Theory season 11 airs every Thursday at 8 pm EST on CBS Network.
