Big Brother 2016: All you need to know for the two-hour live launch on Channel 5 tonight
Get your sharing bag of popcorn and onesie at the ready, because you're in for a long ride as Big Brother 2016 live launches its new series on Channel 5 tonight (7 June). Emma Willis will resume her role as the icy blue-eyed host of the hit reality television show that ushers in fame-hungry housemates willing to be watched around the clock by the British public.
IBTimes UK reported last week that the new series will feature two houses and that we'll be seeing things in black and white thanks to the fresh monochrome décor.
The new residents will not be alone, however, as they'll be under attack from a dark, unseen force that will leave them terrified and demanding more Prosecco, no doubt. Big Brother aims to have the diverse group of individuals hanging off the edge of their seats as they fall victim to paranoia and suspicion. Yikes.
Willis will reel in the new victims – we mean contestants – one by one as the live show commences at 9pm tonight, and for over two hours, ending at 11.05pm. So get comfy, because the couch will become your solitary retreat this evening. We won't know who or what will enter the house until the live show unravels, but grand entrances from each contestant can be expected.
There has been much speculation regarding the new series, but producers of Big Brother have decided to go back to basics this year and keep the names and details of all the new BB housemates under wraps until tonight's show.
And we can get excited for some major bust ups and tantrums as the lucky winner will take home a £100,000 cash prize and a new platform to begin their headline-grabbing career as a "celeb" for a good few months.
The hilarious former X Factor contestant, Rylan Clark-Neal, will be offering his post-launch opinions and gags on Big Brother's naughty older sister show, Big Brother's Bit On The Side, straight after the main show, and we think this series will be the most fun, yet petrifying, in the history of BB thus far.
Tune into Big Brother at 9pm on Channel 5 tonight.
