Bigg Boss 8: Salman Khan Demands Exorbitant Fee for Show's London Premiere, Shoots New Promos With Chennai Express Director
Salman Khan, who is currently basking in the success of his recent film Kick, has reportedly demanded an exorbitant amount for the premiere event of the new season of the Indian reality TV show, Bigg Boss 8.
The event is scheduled to be held in London in September 2014 and Khan, who has a massive fan following in the UK, has asked for Rs 3.5 crore (approx. £ 350,000) to host the occasion, reports India.com.
"Organisers of the Bigg Boss 8 event and the channel - Colors have agreed to pay Salman Khan Rs 3.5 crore for the premiere, which is less than his fees per episode," states the report.
The website further stated that Khan demanded an additional amount of Rs 50 lakh for his staff's travel and accommodation.
The Kick star's superstardom combined with the popularity of the controversial reality show will ensure the upcoming new season enjoys a successful run on TV. Maybe that's the reason the channel and producers of the show are going along with Khan's terms.
As per reports, Bigg Boss 8 will be aired from September end or the first week of October and will be telecast daily in the prime time slot of 9 pm to 10 pm.
Meanwhile, Khan recently shot for new promos of the show with Chennai Express director Rohit Shetty. Check out the on-set images below:
