The Blacklist Season 2 premieres tonight and promises to bring exciting twists as Raymond "Red" Reddington (James Spader) is committed to find his enemies by using the FBI as a prop.

The first episode is titled as Lord Baltimore and it will focus on Red's war against the people in his 'blacklist'.

The Season 1 of the popular NBC crime thrillers ended with Red surrendering himself to the FBI in order to use their resources to hunt down his enemies.

The finale also hinted that Liz is actually the daughter of Raymond and her husband Tom is a secret villain.

The official synopsis of the series reads: "The FBI works for him as he identifies a "blacklist" of politicians, mobsters, spies and international terrorists. He will help catch them all - with the caveat that Elizabeth "Liz" Keen (Megan Boone, "Law & Order: Los Angeles") continues to work as his partner. Red will teach Liz to think like a criminal and see the bigger picture... whether she wants to or not."

In the premiere episode, Berlin will be able to escape from Red's grip and will seek help from Lord Baltimore to wage war against his dreaded enemy, Hallel reports.

However, Baltimore will try to hurt Red in the cruellest way and Hallel suspects the former will target Liz in order to hurt her supposed father.

The Blacklist Season 2 Episode 1 Lord Baltimore will premiere on 22 September on NBC.
