The Blacklist season 3: Red delivers a 'final ultimatum' to save Liz in episode 10
The heroes along with Raymond Reddington will team up to exonerate Elizabeth Keen in the upcoming chapter of The Blacklist season 3. Episode 10 is titled, The Director: Conclusion, which will air on 14 January at 9pm EST on NBC Network.
Things will pick up after the events of episode 9, where agent Ressler is seen escorting Liz to the court amidst tight security. The synopsis of episode 10 reads as follows: "As The Cabal prepares to assassinate Liz (Megan Boone), Red (James Spader) calls upon the task force to combine efforts to out maneuver The Cabal to exonerate her. Red delivers a final ultimatum."
In the previous episode, Ressler understood that Cabal members – Peter Kotsiopulos and National security adviser Laurel Hitchens – are trying to kill the ex FBI agent and the only way to help her is to approach Reddington. Also, agent Aram Mojtabai, who risked his own life to save his friend, earned some appreciation from Red, who told the FBI agent, "It wasn't weakness that prevented you from watching your friend die today — it was hope."
Throughout season 3 fans have seen everyone playing a part to help Liz, but now they have all come together. Red enlists the help of Tom Keen, Harold Cooper, Donald Ressler, Dembe, Aram, Samar Navabi and other Blacklisters to put forward a plan to manoeuvre The Cabal to exonerate Liz.
Meanwhile, show creator Jon Bokenkamp spoke about whether Liz Keen is in mortal danger or not. Bokenkamp told TV Line, "There are very few rules that we are afraid of breaking. Alan Alda is somebody who we loved having on the show, and it broke my heart that we blew him up in the box, but it felt like that's where the story had to go. We're certainly not afraid of taking some really big swings."
Speaking of Red'a plan, the creator said, "[Red] has a plan that is not in place, and things are happening faster than he had anticipated. The whole crew is in a very uncomfortable situation."
