Overview
Murray cruised to the fourth round of the BNP Paribas Open after defeating Jiri Vesely in a hard fought contest in the previous round on Monday. The Scot needed three sets to oust the Czech Republican in a gruelling battle lasting three-hours.
Murray went down 6-7(2), in the first set but recovered strongly in the subsequent sets, 6-4, 6-4, to eventually win the game and secure his progression.
The world number six will now take on Raonic on Wednesday. The 10<sup>th seed overcame Alejandro Falla in the third round last Monday. The Canadian defeated the 30-year-old Colombian, 6-4, 6-3 in straight sets to qualify for the fourth round.

Murray and Raonic have battled each other thrice in the past and the Canadian holds a 2-1 lead against the Scot after their last meeting in 2012.
