Bobbi Kristina Brown: Bobby Brown feud to keep daughter on life support as family urges him to let her go
Two months after she was found face down in a bath at her Georgia home, Bobbi Kristina Brown's family are reportedly embroiled in an ongoing feud over whether to take Whitney Houston's daughter off life support.
According to Inquisitr, an optimistic Bobby Brown is holding out hope that his daughter will make a full recovery and has been locking horns with Cissy Houston and Pat Houston, who believe she is gone and want to remove her from the machines.
"This hasn't gotten any easier for him... It has gotten harder. He really thought she'd be better by now, that there would be some change. There hasn't been any sign of improvement since this happened," a source told the site.
Brown has been in a medically-induced coma since she was found unconscious on January 31. Her boyfriend Nick Gordon is believed to have been first on the scene and administered CPR until the ambulance arrived.
Brown's tragic situation mirrors the death of her mother, who passed away on the eve of the 2012 Grammys. On 11 February 2012, Houston was found unresponsive in a bath in a Beverley Hills hotel. A coroner later concluded her death was as a result of accidental drowning, though heart disease and cocaine use were contributing factors in her death.
People Magazine previously reported that Brown's family are starting to accept the reality of her condition.
"This hasn't gotten any easier for him," an insider said of her father Bobby. "It has gotten harder. He really thought she'd be better by now, that there would be some change. There hasn't been any sign of improvement since this happened."
The source added: "We spent the first month in shock, you know? Like, 'Oh my God, I can't believe that this happened.' But now we've had a lot of time to get used to it."
Meanwhile, NBC News reports that Brown has been moved from Georgia's Emory University Hospital and was receiving treatment at an undisclosed facility nearby.
Although little is known about Brown's health, back in February a family friend revealed that she had suffered seizures when doctors attempted to revive her from her comatose state. "This is a horrible setback. Everyone was hopeful that this was the sign that she'd turned the corner. We were so optimistic," the insider said at the time.
Earlier in March, the 22-year-old's aunt, Leolah Brown, claimed that Gordon was responsible for Brown's condition. She also accused Pat of having her own agenda, telling TMZ: "Whether it be her[Pat] actual hand, I can't say that right now but I hold her accountable for what happened to my niece."
"Pat is a manipulator from the door. She has never earned my trust. She may have earned Whitney's trust in the beginning but Whitney was not fond of her.
"I was to upset that Pat would throw my niece on a reality show at the time of her mother's death. When Bobbi Kristina never even had a chance to mourn her mother. She never had a chance to heal. Why did you not worry about getting her some help?"
