The bodies of a man and two children have been found inside a house in Leicestershire.
Police were called to the semi-detached home in Welwyn Road, Hinckley, at 9.30pm on Tuesday (1 November) after neighbours reported hearing a disturbance.
Officers made contact with a man and woman inside the house. The woman was taken to hospital after suffering injuries where she remains in a stable condition.
When officers entered they property they found the bodies of the man and two children.
Detectives said the cause of the deaths was not yet known, but added that they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
The road remains closed off to the public as forensic officers in white suits donning masks collected evidence inside the house.
Detective Chief Supt David Sandall, Head of Leicestershire Police Crime and Intelligence Directorate, said: "A number of enquiries are now underway to understand what caused the three deaths, and the circumstances surrounding the events of last night in the house.
"Whilst we are not, at this stage, looking for anyone in connection with what happened, we would like to hear from anyone who may have information for us.
"Police officers and other specialist units will remain in the area in order to carry out necessary enquiries."
The names and ages of the deceased have not yet been released, although next of kin have been informed.
Because officers had been in contact with both the man and the woman during the evening, Leicestershire Police said it was required to inform the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) of the incident.
