Bolton: Murder probe after 23-year-old man stabbed at house in Breightmet area
A murder investigation is under way in Bolton after a 23-year-old man died from his injuries after being stabbed at an address in the Breightmet district of the town. Police attended an address in Brightmeadow Close at 4.15am on Sunday, 13 December, following reports of a disturbance to find the victim seriously injured. He was taken to hospital where he died a short time later.
No arrests have yet been made and a Major Incident Team from Greater Manchester Police is investigating the incident alongside local officers from Bolton. Next of kin are being informed.
Chief Inspector Carol Martin said: "First and foremost, our thoughts go out to the family and friends of this young man. We are currently trying to piece together what happened before police arrived at the scene, and we will be doing everything we can to find the person or persons responsible.
"I would like to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the disturbance or seen anything suspicious before or after police arrived to get in touch so we can give this man's family and friends the answers they deserve."
