Tottenham advanced to the semi-finals of the FA Cup after a convincing 3-1 victory over Bolton.
The Spurs enjoyed a dominant first-half, orchestrating attack after attack and getting eleven attempts on goals, with eight on target. However, Bolton goalkeeper Adam Bogdan's surperb form meant the hosts were unable to score.
Tottenham's efforts were rewarded when defender Ryan Nelsen found the nets with a superb header off a van der Vaart cross. After only three minutes Spurs struck again, thanks to winger Gareth Bale scoring off a Jermain Defoe pass.
Bolton midfielder Kevin Davies gave the Wanderers some hope, in the 90th minute, when he managed to score via a good cross from striker Ivan Klasnic. However, Bolton's fates was sealed, when Spurs managed their third almost immediately after Davies' goal. Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha scored off a Benoit Assou-Ekotto assist.
