Boris Johnson plane fracas: Violent drunk on Kuala Lumpur flight with mayor facing jail
A man who sparked cabin chaos on board a flight with Boris Johnson after downing five double whiskies faces jail.
The Mayor of London was among a group of passengers who bid to calm down David Morris, 43, during his unruly behaviour on the Malaysia Airlines flight, earlier this month.
Johnson was returning to London from a high-profile tour of the Far East when the mid-air drama took place.
Morris got angry and headbutted a member of the cabin crew after being refused more alcohol. That triggered an intervention from some passengers.
A photo of the moment when staff were finally able to shackle Morris in cuffs was taken by members of Johnson's delegation.
At Uxbridge Magistrates Court, Morris pleaded guilty to headbutting a member of staff.
