Dortmund will be looking to repeat their opening game win over United when they take on Guardiola's team.
Manchester City take on Borussia Dortmund in their second pre-season game in the International Champions Cup on Thursday (28 July) at the Longgang Stadium.
Where to watch live
Kick-off is at 12.30pm BST. Live coverage in the United Kingdom will be available on Sky Sports 1 and 1 HD. The match is also being broadcast across the globe via various media broadcasters, with the list available at the end of the article.
Overview
Manchester City have had a few more days to prepare for their game against Dortmund after their International Champions Cup game against arch rival Manchester United was called off due to bad weather. It was set to be the start of the Jose Mourinho vs Pep Guardiola battle, which has reignited itself in the Premier League after their fractious relationship during their managerial stints at Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively.
The Citizens lost their first pre-season game against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena and Guardiola will be keen to get his first win under the belt. The Spanish manager still does not have any of the first-team central defenders at his disposal and continues with the young players in the squad.

Dortmund, on the other hand, will have the services of last season's top scorer Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and will be looking to inflict their second defeat on a club from Manchester. Thomas Tuchel's side began their China pre-season tour with a 4-1 thumping of Manchester United and he will be keen to repeat the result on Guardiola's team.
The Signal Iduna Park outfit have the upper hand in their head-to-head record having won two of their three meetings thus far.
