Bow Wow and Erica Mena: CSI Cyber actor causes outrage after claiming he 'created' fiancee
It may come across as egotistical but CSI: Cyber actor Bow Wow has defended his claim that he "created" his fiancee Erica Mena.
Fans were outraged when the 28-year-old rapper commented on an Instagram photo of the former Love & Hip Hop: New York reality star wearing a revealing outfit, taking credit for her raunchy image.
Bow Wow, real name Shad Moss, wrote: "All me! Top to bottom! Look at what I created!"
When a follower asked the Like You rapper to clarify his comment about "creating" his wife-to-be, he responded: "Just what I said! Thats all me. Look at her from a year ago to now. She dress diff hair diff swag different. Thats me! [sic]
"As a man its our job to put our women on and up so high on pedal stool they become unreachable boy! [sic]
He continued: "Thats what I do! I seen sumn in her NO ONE saw! Now yall JUST SEEING IT [sic]."
Although she has not responded to the controversy directly, Mena, 27, posted a series of cryptic tweets about relationships, telling her followers:
The couple's relationship has been scrutinised ever since they went public with their romance in 2014, with some believing it to be a publicity stunt.
Hitting back at their critics, Bow Wow told talk show panel The Real in April 2015: "Anything that I do is real, especially, you know, marriage and things like that. You know what I am saying?
"For me, it's funny. It's like a form of entertainment because it's funny to watch people online thinking that they really know your business or really know your life.
He added: "And they be so far left with the information. So it's just funny, we just get a kick out of it. Plus, I'm built for it tough, so, you know."
Although reality star Mena has revealed they will have a "destination wedding", Bow Wow denied rumours that they are tying the knot in Australia.
