BP shares rise on FTSE 100; Tropical storm 'Bonnie' passes
BP have announced today that work continues on the relief well at the site of the oil leak, after a fierce Tropical Storm called Bonnie intervened over the weekend. The statement came via BP, who released the new information stating that with the guidance and approval of the NIC (National Incident Committee) work had recommenced.
"BP have announced today that work continues on the relief well at the site of the oil leak, after a fierce Tropical Storm called Bonnie intervened over the weekend." the statement read.
Shares in BP rose today - partly due also to speculation that Tony Hayward may quit.
The share price of BP meanwhile still remains someway off the overall FTSE 100 performance since the oil spill as seen in the charts from BP's website (attached this article).
