Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Tie The Knot in Secret Ceremony
Hollywood actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have got married in France.
According to a rep for the A-List couple, they tied the knot in a private ceremony in the South of France surrounded by close family and friends.
The intimate ceremony is believed to have taken place at Château Miraval, the newly-weds 1,000-acre property.
Jolie is said to have been escorted down the aisle with her eldest sons Maddox and Pax, while daughters Zahara and Vivienne threw petals and Shiloh and Knox served as ring bearers.
The couple obtained a marriage licence from a local California judge, who also conducted the ceremony, the Huffington Post reports.
The couple, who met on the set of the thriller Mr and Mrs Smith, got engaged in 2012 after seven years of dating.
Although they famously vowed never to marry until same-sex couples in the United States had the same right, they later gave into pressure from their three biological children Vivienne, Shiloh and Knox and adopted Maddox, Zahara and Pax.
"It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy," Pitt's spokeswoman Cynthia Pett-Dante said at the time.
It is third time lucky for the 39-year-old Maleficent actress, who was previously married to Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton. Pitt's marriage to first wife Jennifer Aniston ended after five years in 2005.
