Bradford: Police launch manhunt after pregnant woman is stabbed to death in home
A woman has been stabbed to death in a house in Bradford.
West Yorkshire Police were called to an address in the north of the city at 4.48pm on Sunday (14 June) where a 24-year-old pregnant mother-of-two was found dead .
The woman, named locally as Nadia Khan, was said to have been six months pregnant with her third child. Her two other children, a boy and a girl aged four and three, were reportedly in the house when she was killed.
Police are looking for a man and a woman in her twenties in connection with the stabbing.
Detective Chief Inspector Jim Dunkerley, from the Force's Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, said: "The body of a woman was found by police and paramedics inside a property on Holker Street. She had suffered fatal stab wounds. While the murder investigation is at an early stage we are treating this as a domestic-related incident.
"Enquiries are currently ongoing to trace a man in connection with the death. This was a very serious incident and will understandably cause a considerable amount of distress and upset amongst the local community.
"To reassure local people we have increased patrols by neighbourhood officers in the area and I do not believe there is any wider danger to members of the public."
Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact police via 101 quoting crime log number 1099 from the 14 J.
