Hangover Star Bradley Cooper Has World's Sexiest Hair, Beats Ryan Gosling and David Beckham to Title [PHOTOS]

Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence are favourites to win the race for casting in the film version of EL James' Fifty Shades of Grey

Hollywood star and Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper has been voted as the man with the world's sexiest hair. The 38-year-old face of the Hangover series of films beat out The Notebook's Ryan Gosling, former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham to the prize.

Cooper snared nearly half the 2,000 votes, with Gosling getting 20% and Beckham 17%. Fourth place went to Prince Harry and One Direction's Harry Styles rounded out the top five. According to a report by DNA, most of the women surveyed said men with hair longer than six inches were a turn-off.

The Philadelphia-born Cooper was also named People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive in 2011 and was nominated to an Academy Award earlier this year for his role in Silver Linings Playbook. Cooper rose to fame on the back of his role in television series like Kitchen Confidential (2005-2006) and Alias (2001-2006). But it was his roles in Wedding Crashers (2005) and Failure to Launch (2006) that kick-started his Hollywood career.

Meanwhile, Cooper is also believed to be in the running to play the role of Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey. The film version of EL James' best-selling erotica novel has gathered significant amounts of attention since it was announced, with a lot of speculation over the possible leads.

Reports have linked a number of Hollywood's most high-profile names, including Oscar-winning Jennifer Lawrence, Mila Kunis, Twilight star (and Robert Pattinson's ex) Kristen Stewart and Underworld heroine Kate Beckinsale, to the role of Anastasia Steele.

Across the fence, Canadian actor Ian Somerhalder is the hot favourite to play Grey but Fashion & Style believes Cooper and Lawrence, who had "great on-screen chemistry" in Silver Linings Playbook, could team up once again.

Cooper and Lawrence's fans are certainly sold on the idea. There is a fan-made Facebook page for the actor, campaigning to have him selected to the role of Christian Grey.
