Sofia Vergara has sent temperatures soaring with x-rated throwback photos, which have appeared a day after images of her posing completely naked were published by the British version of Women's Health Magazine for its "first-ever global naked issue".

The snaps published by The Daily Mail shows the Modern Family actress flaunting her assets, wearing nothing but a tiny green bikini bottom with floral prints at a beach. The 45-year-old, however, covered up her modesty by shielding her breast with her hands in a series of images, which is said to be from a photoshoot she did in 1997.

In one of the explicit images, a much younger Vergara is seen smiling, with her blonde locks cascading down her shoulders as she covered up her boobs with a straw hat.

She then is seen seductively staring at the camera while lying down flat on her chest, covering her assets with her arms, and legs crossed in the air.

Another photo shows her knee deep in water with her body sprinkled with sand. She is seen covering her assets by tightly crossing her arms in front of her breast.

According to the news website, Joe Manganiello's wife at that time was working as a model in the US. She had already been divorced from her high school love Joe Gonzalez. The former couple's son Manolo was only five years old during the beach phootshoot.

While Vergara has gone nude a couple of times in her career, she previously said that she is not keen on shedding down to her birthday suit in front for the cameras.

"I can barely cover my boobs with two arms — I'm a 32-triple-D! My boobs are real, and I had a baby. If I grab them, I can't even cover the nipple!" she said.

"I told [my rep], 'I'm going to be 45 years old! Stop putting me in naked things! Let me age with dignity!' People say, 'Oh, you look like you're in your twenties.' Well, it's not true. Our skin is different. I had never thought of the word pore, then I'm like, 'Sh-t! What do I do with these? Here's a woman, 45, being able to show her body. It's not like before, when it was just young girls."
