Officers and paramedics could not revive six-month-old Ava Parker.
Avon and Somerset Police have charged a 33-year-old Bristol man with the murder of his six-month-old daughter on Christmas Day.
Lee Parker, from Kingswood, is charged with murdering Aya Parker at an address in the Kingswood area of the city and will appear at Bristol Magistrates Court on Thursday 29 December.

Local resident Glenys Clark told the Mail: "I got up in the early hours of Christmas Day to tend to my husband and I did see an ambulance in the middle of the street opposite the flats. But I've only just heard about what happened from my daughter, I didn't know about anything on the day."
In a statement Avon and Somerset Police said: "A 33-year-old man has this evening been charged with murder. This relates to the death of six month old baby girl Aya Parker on Christmas Day at Britton Gardens in Kingswood. Lee Parker of Britton Gardens is to appear at Bristol Magistrates Court tomorrow Thursday 29 December."
