Brixton bus bottle attack: Six passengers assaulted on route 159 service through South London
Police are looking for two men who attacked six male passengers with glass bottles on the 159 bus through Brixton. The Lambeth Safer Transport Team are appealing for help after police were called on 7 April at about 3.30am to a fight on the bus as it travelled along Brixton Road in south west London
When police arrived the suspects had already left and no injured parties came forward. CCTV footage from the bus shows a number of people fighting and an elderly man being knocked over during the incident. A 21-year-old man has been interviewed under caution in connection with the fight.
Officers are keen to identify two men who boarded the bus armed with bottles and attacked around six other men, before making off. One of the suspects is described as a bald black man, who was wearing a white T-shirt. The other man is described as black, with short hair. He wore a white shirt and light-coloured jacket.
Anyone who was on the bus at the time of the incident or has any information is urged to call police via 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference 1210282/15.
