Burglar hides beneath kid's duvet to hide from CCTV cameras as he raids New Zealand house
Manukau Police released footage on 4 April, showing an unidentified man hiding beneath a child's duvet as he burgled a house in the Auckland suburb of Dannemora, New Zealand. The man reportedly stole cash and jewellery during the theft on 20 March. Police appealed for help to identify the man, who was described as Caucasian, in his 20s, and a slim build.
"We need your help to identify the male in this video who carried out a burglary in Dannemora on the morning of March 20 2016," said the Counties Manukau Police post on Facebook.
Sergeant John Roberts of the Counties Manukau Police Tactical Crime Unit said the male covered himself with a duvet and crawled around the house, stealing a number of items including cash and jewellery. Police are looking for a male Caucasian, aged in his 20s, and of slim build.
