Canary Wharf emergency: High winds delay air ambulance landing at Montgomery Square
Met Police officers have cleared Montgomery Square in Canary Wharf so a helicopter can land there and take an ill patient to hospital. The London air ambulance service is expected to land in the square but has been delayed by high winds.
A Canary Wharf security guard told IBTimes UK that they were called to the area at about 10am after reports someone at law firm Clifford Chance, which is based at 10 Upper Bank Street, had fallen ill. Three police cars and a land ambulance are at the scene.
Update: The London Air Ambulance has confirmed it was called to the scene but later stood down. London Ambulance Service has not yet commented on the emergency.Clifford Chance has told IBTimes UK that the patient was not one of its staff.
