Capital Jingle Bell Ball 2015: Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Calvin Harris and more added to line-up
Capital FM has added some seriously big names to its Jingle Bell Ball line-up. Calvin Harris, Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber to be precise. The radio station, which has hosted the event since 2008, announced the news on 5 November, both on its website and live on air.
Bieber's performance, scheduled to be held at London's O2 on 6 December, will mark his first time at the event while also being his first UK show in over two years. Grande, whose performance will be on 5 December, will be returning to the Capital stage after her successful stint entertaining the crowds at the 2015 Summertime Ball. No stranger to the Capital Jingle Bell Ball stage, Harris's performance will mark his third time at the event.
Jess Glynne, Little Mix, Years & Years and Ellie Goulding will also take part in the festive concerts, as will David Guetta, Nick Jonas, Charlie Puth, Nathan Sykes and Jason Derulo.
Speaking about the upcoming gig, Bieber promised his set will be "high energy" and feature "a lot of singing and a lot of dancing". The What Do You Mean? singer also teased he might debut some new tracks from his upcoming album, Purpose, saying: "I think I'll be singing some of my new stuff by then."
Grande could not contain her enthusiasm about putting on a show, admitting to Capital: "I'm so very excited because I'm a festive person and it's going to be a blast, I'm so excited! I'm going to be the funniest, most festive person you've ever seen!"
Harris was equally as excited at the prospect of starting the Christmas period at the JBB, stating: "I'm so ready – I am SO ready. You've got to go in there, bash out the hits, have a good time – it's great, I love it. It's really as simple as that, I really want to do it!"
Tickets for the Capital Jingle Bell Ball with Coca-Cola go on sale on 6 November at 8am.
