We are entering the final 15 minutes of our second round fixtures across the country. At the moment, Burton Albion and Middlesbrough, Crystal Palace and Shrewsbury, Doncaster and Ipswich, Portsmouth and Reading, Wallsall and Brighton and West Brom and Port Vale are heading towards extra time and penalties.
The Premier League big boys crash the Capital One Cup party this evening for the third round draw of the competition. Last season's winners Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Southampton and West Ham United will all learn their fate after this evening's second round fixtures, with the draw itself scheduled to begin at approximately 9:45pm [BST] and you can follow it all right here.
By the time it gets started, we should know who the majority of the 32 teams entering the draw are, with the prospect of extra time and penalties expected to settle at least a couple of tonight's 23 ties. Barnsley and Everton play on Wednesday night.
