Celebrity Big Brother: Marnie and Lewis's relationship backfires as viewers claim showmance
Said to be sex plot ploy to remain in game after she was accused of bullying Saira Khan.
She's been in the Celebrity Big Brother house for less than a week, but Geordie Shore star Marnie Simpson is already being accused of starting a "showmance" to remain in the series.
Twitter users are sceptical about the blossoming romance between reality television personalities Marnie and Lewis Bloor, who have been caught on camera kissing and snuggling between the sheets.
To add fuel to the fire, fellow housemate Stephen Bear told Mob Wives' Renee Graziano that Lewis "really likes Marnie" and that "she does not care for him" on Tuesday night's (2 August) episode.
The 23-year-old raven-haired star first locked lips with Lewis, 26, on day four in the house in the storeroom, which lead to viewers slamming their potential love as a camera-hogging plot to garner votes.
Marnie first caught the attention of TOWIE's Lewis just hours into the first show when he confided in Page Three legend Sam Fox about his feelings for her, and that the pair had already enjoyed a flirtation on the outside world. The pair have been inseparable since their first kiss and were seen cosying up on the sofas in the smoking area on last night's episode.
But it has now been revealed that Marnie could be sparking a romance with Lewis in a bid to keep her spot in the house. The Daily Star newspaper has claimed that Marnie has a "secret sex plot" up her sleeve to ensure she doesn't get kicked out and goes on to win the show like her successful Geordie Shore co-stars in the past, Charlotte Crosby and Scotty T.
The publication suggests that she is getting down to business with Lewis after fearing she might be given the boot over bullying claims. She hopes that her romance with the fellow reality star will win back support from viewers after she flashed her breasts at Loose Women's Saira Khan in a game of Truth and Dare.
And it appears that CBB fans agree, with many accusing the Geordie Shore beauty of faking it. One viewer wrote on social media sharing site Twitter: "how fake is this marnie and lewis thing talk about showmance cringeeeeee #CBB," while another put: "Out of all of the relationships on the past celebrity version of the show Lewis and Marnie is the biggest showmance #CBB #CBBUK".
