Chelsea v Fulham: Where to Watch Live, Preview and Team News
Chelsea and Fulham meet at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League in the first west London derby of the season, with the Blues keen to avoid a fourth successive defeat.
Where to Watch Live
Kick-off is set for 5.30pm BST, with Sky Sports 1, Sky Sports 1HD and Sky Go providing live coverage in the UK. Watch the highlights of the game on Match of the Day on BBC One and BBC One HD at 10.30pm BST.
Overview
Chelsea, widely touted as this year's title favourites, have made their worst start to a domestic season in a decade and are currently sixth in the league table, after last week's 1-0 defeat at Everton. The Blues also lost a Champions League group match at Stamford Bridge for the first time in nearly 10 years in midweek, when they were beaten 2-1 by Swiss champions Basel. Jose Mourinho's men had also lost the Super Cup to Bayern Munich on penalties three weeks ago and are now under immense pressure to produce a favourable result in the derby.
Fulham, on the other hand, also failed to get off to a good start this season. The Cottagers have not won a game since their season opener victory at Sunderland a month ago and currently sit 14th in the league table. They also required penalties to progress to the third round of the Capital One Cup against League Two side Burton Albion. Defeat at Newcastle United just before the international break and last weekend's 1-1 draw at home to West Bromwich Albion saw several fans calling for Martin Jol's head.
Mourinho's unbeaten run of 62 Premier League games at Stamford Bridge is on the line but Chelsea can take heart from their 14-match unbeaten streak against Fulham in the top flight. However, Jol will be confident of his team's chances of earning something from this tie, having picked up two draws in his last two visits to Stamford Bridge with Fulham.
What Managers Say
Mourinho: "I want to build with Oscar as my number 10. I want the other two players, from the side (wings), to adapt to that reality and to learn how to do things that they were not ready to do before. But [Mata] played against Everton from the beginning and you can analyse his performance. It's part of a process with him. It's a problem I enjoy. "
Jol: "Kasami was on the fringes [last season]. He was another one who wanted to play. He played for [Swiss club] Lucerne [on loan last year] and made big steps. He scored his first goals for the Under-21s last week and played for us against Sunderland. He's better than he was before; stronger and one of our key players this season."
