Chelsea murder: woman stabbed to death at home on Stadium Street in west London
Scotland Yard detectives have arrested a woman on suspicion of murder after a female was stabbed to death at a home in Chelsea, west London.
Officers were called at approximately 1:20am on Sunday (2 August) to reports of a woman suffering stab wounds at the address.
London Ambulance Service also attended and the 35-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene 15 minutes later.
A 48-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody at a central London police station.
Although officers believe they know the identity of the deceased, formal identification is yet to take place.
Enquiries are under way to trace next of kin and a post mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.
The investigation is being led by Detective Chief Inspector Simon Ashwin from the Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC).
