Chelsea are considering a summer move to sign Vitesse Arnhem midfielder Marco van Ginkel. Goal.com believes the Dutch international could become José Mourinho's first signing. The Portuguese manager is widely expected to return to his former club after it was confirmed he is to leave Real Madrid at the end of the Spanish season.

The 20-year-old is believed to a bright prospect in the Eredivisie and has started 11 games for Vitesse this year. His performances have earned him the Talent of the Year award and also call-up to the national squad by manager Louis van Gaal.

The report claims an agreement is already in place but nothing has been confirmed and if that is the case then the Blues may still face competition from Eredivisie clubs Ajax, PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord.

What could help the Stamford Bridge side is that they have a good relationship with the Europa League winners. The list of players who have moved between the two sides includes Gael Kakuta, Patrick van Aanholt and Tomas Kalas.

Vitesse finished the season in fourth, qualifying for the Europa League, and van Ginkel has since admitted he could leave the club if a high-profile suitor wanted to sign him.

"I will not necessarily leave, but you never know what will happen. We saw last year with Alexander Buttner. If suddenly Manchester United are at the door, it's a different story," he confessed.

"I think clubs like Ajax and PSV are beyond us. Those are bigger clubs, almost each year they play in the Champions League. But if you're young, it is important to get minutes on the pitch and I can here," the midfielder added.

Fernando Torres Welcomes Bayern Munich Match

Meanwhile, the Blues' Spain striker, Fernando Torres, spoke to the club's Web site about the European Super Cup in August. Bayern Munich's Champions League win over Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund means the first European trophy of the new season will be a repeat of last year's Champions League final. This time though, the match will in Prague.

"It's another European trophy to play for. Obviously as Europa League winners you expect to play against the best team in Europe. The Champions League winners are often the favourites but it's not very often they win. Hopefully we learn from the game we played against Atletico, which was not good enough, and we can win the first trophy of the season in August," the World Cup, European Championship, Champions League and Europa League winner explained.
