Chelsea vs. Queens Park Rangers, Premier League 2014/15: Where to Watch, Preview, Betting Odds and Possible XI
Chelsea will take on Queens Park Rangers in the first West London derby of the 2014/15 Premier League season at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Where to Watch
Kick-off is at 3pm GMT. Radio commentary of the match will be available on BBC Radio 5 Live. Catch the highlights of the game on Match of the Day on BBC One and BBC One HD at 10:20pm GMT.
Overview
Jermaine Grandison's late own goal helped Chelsea qualify for the Capital One Cup quarter finals as the Blues defeated Shrewsbury Town 1-2 earlier this midweek. The Stamford Bridge outfit are unbeaten in all competitions this season and they would be looking to extend their run when they take on their local rivals.
Jose Mourinho will welcome his star striker Diego Costa from injury, while he will still be without the services of defender Cesar Azpilicueta, who is suspended. The return of the Brazil-born Spanish striker will lift the mood in Chelsea's camp as he has already netted nine times from seven league matches.
Meanwhile, Redknapp saw his men end QPR's five match winless run in the league after registering a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa at Loftus Road on Monday evening. It was Charlie Austin's brace against Villa that helped the Hoops seal three crucial points.
QPR have scored more late goals against their west London rivals. The former Tottenham Hotspur manager would be keen to seal another win and hope that could kick start their season to avoid relegation this campaign.
What Managers Say
Jose Mourinho: "Without any further complications, Diego Costa and Ramires will be fit to face QPR at the weekend. Normally, Ramires and Diego Costa are back. Normally, we will have only [Loic] Remy as an injured player and [Cesar] Azpilicueta suspended."
Harry Redknapp: "We pulled off a shock last time, let's hope we can pull off another this weekend. We'll need a top performance. They're the best team in the country, the team to beat this season for sure, but we'll give it a go. It's a London derby and we're ready for the game. We want to put on a performance for our fans."
