Cheryl Fernandez-Versini posts sexy selfie from Barbados
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has shrugged off her marital woes as she she soaks up the sun in Barbados ahead of best friend Kimberley Walsh's wedding. The 32-year-old showed off her toned physique in a red bikini as she prepared to top up her tan.
The singer, who has in recent months faced speculation over her slim frame, looked better than ever as she posed for the sexy selfie in a swanky bathroom.
Cheryl had earlier attributed her apparent weight loss to the stress of the passing of her husband's father. However, it appears that the Crazy, Stupid Love singer was contending with the stress of her split from husband Jean Bernard.
While she is said to be embroiled in a dispute over a divorce settlement, for the moment she seems to be putting her troubles aside. Clearly in the holiday mood she wrote: "I could get used to this island life." The X Factor judge, who landed on the Caribbean island yesterday (27 January) couldn't hide her excitement as she posted a cheeky selfie from the plane.
In an interview with Hello! Magazine she had earlier expressed her joy at sharing her best friend's big day as Kimberley ties the knot with her partner of 14 years Justin Scott.
"Kimberley is just the best friend you could wish for. I'm so excited for the wedding. It is a celebration of two people in love that we've all been a part of, and I am so excited to celebrate their love story."
The wedding, which is expected to take place over the weekend, will certainly bring back memories of her own exotic destination wedding to Jean Bernard. The pair married in a secret ceremony in Mustique in July 2014 after a whirlwind three-month romance. They exchanged vows in front of just four guests, including the Fight For This Love hitmaker's mother, Joan Callaghan.
She earlier admitted that she wasn't being practical when she tied the knot for the second time, but insisted she knew what she was doing. "It was my heart and my head. I'm not an 18-year-old, I'm a 31-year-old woman and I know what I'm doing. I'm doing what makes me happy and that is what is right for me," she said at the time.
While the pair have been embroiled in a public spat on social media, Cheryl has shrugged off her personal heartache as she celebrates Walsh's forthcoming nuptials. Cheryl and fellow bandmate Nicola Roberts are both set to be bridesmaids at the lavish wedding, though Girls Aloud singers Nadine Coyle and Sarah Harding are not believed to be on the guest list.
