Cheryl Fernandez-Versini Wedding Ring 'Epitomises Unconditional Love'
Posting an image of her platinum engagement ring and diamond wedding band on Instagram, newlywed Cheryl Fernandez-Versini announced to the world that she is married.
The singer married French club owner Jean-Bernard in a secret wedding in the Caribbean on 7 July, following a whirlwind three-month relationship.
While little is known about the wedding ceremony, the story behind the extravagant ring has been revealed.
Jewellers to the stars Geraldo said they had precise instructions from the Frenchman for the ring and were told: "Your work must epitomise my unfailing unconditional love."
CEO of the brand Roman Garfunkel explained: "Jean-Bernard entrusted us with the creation of his engagement and wedding bands.
"Expressing his overwhelming feelings mainly by the size of the diamond he originally requested... with actual no limits, I decided to guide him towards a design emphasising the size and purity of his love, without compromising Cheryl's personality."
"When it comes to engagement rings, both personalities and feelings must flow within this sentimental item," added Roman.
The flawless emerald-cut diamond is surrounded by two trapezium-cut diamonds.
After tying the knot in front of just four guests, Cheryl and Jean-Bernard celebrated their wedding with 80 of her closest friends and family in London on Monday night.
The singer, who scored her fourth No.1 with Crazy Stupid Love on Sunday, opted for a black, duchess silk and velvet strapless black gown with sheer pleated French chiffon skirt by British couturiers Ralph & Russo for her wedding party.
Her new husband, Jean-Bernard wore a black suit for the celebration at the private members' venue The Library club.
