Chloe Grace Moretz declined an invite to join Taylor Swift's gang of famous friends
Actress Chloë Grace Moretz has claimed that she had rejected an invite from Taylor Swift to join her gang of famous friends. The Fifth Wave actress opened up about the Swift's gang and said, "They [Taylor Switf's gang] appropriate exclusivity... They're cliques!"
In an interview with Complex magazine the 19-year-old actress was asked if Taylor Swift had asked her to join her squad, to which Moretz replied, "Yes". When pressed to elaborate further, the actress simply said: "You know I can't!" but added, "She [Taylor Swift] is a very talented person."
Moretz is friends with the 1989 singer's close mate Selena Gomez, whose famous friends include Lena Dunham, Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid and Cara Delevingne.
Further, when Moretz was asked which actress's career path she would like to follow, she said that it would be Julia Roberts or Sandra Bullock. However, she continued, "I don't want to win an Oscar right now. I don't. I don't deserve it. Not yet."
"I've had a lot of hits and misses. For me right now it's all about building my career, building my brand. If critics catch onto it and want to give me acclaim, then cool. But that's not me. It's not something that I'm like, 'Oh my god! Why don't they love me'?" she said.
"I want to be America's sweetheart. I want to be beloved. I want to be an indie queen, but I want people to really love me and what I've done and let me be a part of their lives at home."
Talking about boys, the actress pointed out: "I want to be with someone who's adventurous and wants to go do something. Don't take me to Nobu (a Japanese restaurant chain) and get me nigiri. I'm OK. I can take myself to Nobu. I don't need someone to take me to Nobu."
