Brown is set to release new album on 16 September Instagram

Chris Brown has got on the wrong side of thousands of fans after unfollowing them on Instagram and Twitter.

The Loyal singer, who is preparing to release his sixth studio album on 16 September, was slammed as unloyal after his social media spring-clean.

His mass 'unfollow' soon led to mass panic, with many fans vowing to boycott his forthcoming record, 'X'.

"Chris Brown has just unfollowed all his fans. What a plank," one critic said.

His overhaul comes after he reunited with on-off girlfriend Karrueche Tran at a charity football game in L.A.

The couple were all loved up despite reports that they had finally ended their turbulent romance.

Tran, 26, is said to have grown tired of Brown's womanising ways and 'had been unhappy for a long time'.

"Chris acts immature, like a child," a source told TMZ.
