Overview
The Royals have enjoyed a brilliant run in this edition of the CL T20 as they are unbeaten in the four matches played in the competition. Rahul Dravid saw his side finish on top of Group A and are one step closer in winning their first Champions League trophy.
The hosts enter this game after defeating Otago Volts by four wickets in the final game before the knockout. The New Zealand side made 139 from their 20 overs while Rajasthan won the tie in the final over of the game with five balls to spare.
Rahul Shukla was the star with the bowl picking up three wickets. Meanwhile, Ajinkya Rahane's 52 at the top followed by an unbeaten knock of 52 by Brad Hodge down the order saw the Royals register their fourth win in CL T20.
The Super Kings failed to finish on top of Group B after losing the final fixture to Trinidad & Tobago. The defeat for the two times IPL Champions in the final group stage match saw the Daren Ganga's side clinch the first spot.
CSK were bowled out for 118 while Trinidad & Tobago chased their target comfortably in less than 16 overs, while losing two wickets in the process. MS Dhoni's side have already won the Champions League in 2010 while the Royals will be hoping for a win against the Superkings to clinch their first CL T20 trophy.
Trinidad & Tobago have also progressed to the knockout phase and will face the reigning IPL champions Mumbai Indians for the second semifinal to be played in the CL T20 on Saturday.
