Consumer Electronics Show 2012: Top 5 Tech Trends to Expect
With a mere three days to go for CES 2012, expectations are running high. As many as 2,700 exhibitors across 140 countries will be flaunting their wares among 20,000 new product launches.
The show is expected to stretch across an imposing 1.8 million sq. ft area or spanning a round trip distance of 15-miles (24Km). Expect Microsoft's Steve Ballmer, Intel's Paul Otellini and Daimler Mercedes-Benz's Dr Dieter Zetsche to hog the limelight among the scores of gizmos.
All eyes will be on gadgets with features like customisability, user-friendliness, looks, power-efficiency, HD capability and processing speeds.
The UK is expected to make a strong showing this year with 44 exhibitors, a 20 per cent rise in participation over last year.
OLED-based super-thin smart TVs, energy-efficient ultrabook super-slim laptops, quad-core mobile chipsets, consumer cloud kick- off and car tech with advanced communications comprise the top five tech trends for CES 2012.
