Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid's marriage plans revealed
The couple got re-engaged in April following their brief split in 2015.
Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid's marriage plans have been revealed. Radar Online has reported that the Friends star and the Snow Patrol rocker are not planning a big wedding but instead want to elope.
"They just want to do this with a minimum of fuss in an LA registry office, then they'll have a wedding dinner party at her place with friends and family," a source told the celebrity gossip site, adding that the actress and the musician want the nuptials to "be just the two of them with Coco [Courteney's daughter with David Arquette]."
The source told the gossip site that "making wedding plans was so stressful" that the 52-year-old actress and the musician split briefly in 2015. However, the couple got re-engaged in April.
The couple want to get hitched in autumn and are planning a trip to Northern Ireland for their honeymoon.
"They've told people to keep a weekend free in October," the source said.
However, the 40-year-old musician's family may not be happy about their marriage plans. "Johnny's family won't be happy about this, but it's what they both want right now. They're finally in a place where they're having loads of fun," the source said.
Cox and McDaid dated from 2013 and when the couple got engaged in June 2014, they revealed the news via Twitter.
"I'm engaged to him!" Cox wrote, while McDaid wrote, "I'm engaged to her!"
In September 2014, Cox revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live that McDaid had proposed to her at Jennifer Aniston's home.
"We went to Jen's [Jennifer Aniston] house for dinner because it was Coco's birthday and she was godmom. They made a plan to count down from three and when they got to one, he was gonna get down on his knee and say, 'Will you marry me?' and she was gonna say, 'Will you marry him?' They planned it out. They found the perfect tree that branches that led to one trunk. It was just beautiful," Cox said. (via E! news)
