Cristiano Ronaldo and Irina Shayk split: Real Madrid star responds to cheating reports
Former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has lashed out at claims that he cheated on his Russian girlfriend Irina Shayk.
The 30-year-old Real Madrid star has been linked to a number of women since he split with the 29-year-old Victoria's Secret model in January this year.
Recently, Playboy star Daniella Chavez claimed that she had an affair with the father-of-one in November last year, when he was still dating Shayk.
The Portugal international posted a video on his Twitter account, and blamed media for trying to "damage his reputation".
"I never spoke for the press, I never speak about my private life," he said.
"But I wanted this opportunity to say the last couple of weeks the press try to say trash about me [sic]. That I have new girlfriends, day by day I have new girlfriends. That I do this, that I do that — just leave me alone.
"Let me do my work properly like I do it every year. Don't try to damage my image, cause it's not going to happen," Ronaldo added.
Rumours that Ronaldo and Shayk have parted ways started after she unfollowed him on Twitter. She did not come to support Ronaldo when he was honoured with the prestigious Ballon d'Or title for the third time, at a ceremony held in Zurich, Switzerland.
Recently, Shayk also removed Ronaldo's images from her Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
