Ancelotti Claims PSG Don't Need Ronaldo To Succeed

Carlo Ancelotti has claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo isn't needed at Paris Saint Germain, with the former Manchester United forward currently considering his future.

Ronaldo has had a mixed season with Real Madrid so far, starting off by claiming he was unhappy with certain elements at the club, and now claiming that while he is satisfied, he won't discuss what he plans to do when his current contract runs out.

United have admitted they would love to bring Ronaldo back to Old Trafford, and Sir Alex Ferguson's transfer adversaries PSG have also been connected with a big money move for the superstar.

But Ancelotti says he has enough attacking players to need Ronaldo as well, as the club prepare to take David Beckham on board for the rest of the season.

"Ronaldo in my team? Why not? Who wouldn't love have to him?" Ancelotti told reporters, according to Goal.com. He then added: "[We are] happy with the attackers at [our] disposal."

United and PSG were recently in a transfer scuffle over the sale of Lucas Moura. The Brazilian youngster was all set to make the move to Old Trafford, but made a last minute U-turn and went to Paris for more than €40 million.

But United could likely have the advantage if they were to fight with PSG for Ronaldo, who recently admitted he still loves his old side.

"I still have a great feeling of friendship and love for them, they are a team that have done a lot for my career," he said at the start of the year.

"The fans know me well and I have a lot of friends there that I keep close to my heart."

Ronaldo will face his old teammates and manager when Madrid play United in the final 16 of the Champions League this month.
