Is Cristiano Ronaldo's girlfriend pregnant? Here's what the Real Madrid star's mother has to say

Cristiano Ronaldo's stunning picture with his model girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez sent his fans into a meltdown over the weekend. However, many Instagram users speculated that the soccer legend might be welcoming a second child as his girlfriend appeared to be cradling a baby bump.

With his hands wrapped around Rodriguez's arms, the Real Madrid star made his relationship official and simply captioned the romantic picture with a heart emoticon.

Needless to say, the image soon became a viral sensation with fans bombarding with baby questions in the comments section.

"They're expecting!!!" one Instagram user wrote, while another commented "Cristiano jr 2 is coming" referring to the 32-year-old athlete's 6-year-old son.

Although Ronaldo hasn't yet responded to the pregnancy talk, a new report claims that his mother dismissed the rumours calling them "nonsense". According to sources, the footballer's mother Dolores Santos strongly rejected the claims of a sibling for Cristiano Jr.

"It's just nonsense, it's just a hand on the belly, and as far as I know, Cristiano will not be a father again," Santos was quoted as saying by Goal.com. "I hope he has more children, he wants to be a father again, now that Cristiano has money, he can raise more children as well," the mother of the Portuguese footballer added.

However, this is not the first time when the Real Madrid forward has found himself in the centre of baby rumours. Ronaldo, who welcomed his first son in 2010, was rumoured to be expecting twin boys via an American surrogate earlier in March.

"Cristiano and his family can't wait to meet the new members of their clan," The Sun had reported. "He likes to keep a tight lid on his private life but has told loved ones and close friends the baby boys are due to arrive very soon."

Rumours of surrogacy were rife even when the Portuguese international had Cristiano Jr, however Ronaldo refused to make any public announcement.

Instead he has said, "When Cristiano is going to grow up, I am always going to say the truth to him because he deserves it because he is my son, but I am not going to say because people want me to say."

Meanwhile, the father-of-one seems to be getting serious with his model girlfriend as well. He and Rodriguez have been together since meeting in June 2016.
