Dallas: Rescue services and civilians work together to lift car off crash victim [video]
An incredible video has been released that shows the moment police, firefighters and members of the public worked together to lift a car that had a woman trapped underneath.
The footage, released by Dallas Police Department, shows a female motorcycle rider hit by the car, pinning her underneath the vehicle.
Police officers arrived at the scene and attempted to lift the car using a jack, but it didn't work. The eight officers and one firefighter then decided to try and lift the car up with their hands.
The dashcam footage shows the emergency services personnel joined by a group of civilians as they successfully manage to lift the car and drag the woman to safety.
The woman was initially taken to hospital, but sustained no major injuries and is now recovering at home. Police say the driver who hit her was at fault in the crash. He faces no criminal charge but officers cited him for driving without a licence.
