Danniella Westbrook shuts down Twitter account after denying drug relapse
The former Eastenders star says the reason for her hospital visit was due to being 'poorly'.
Danniella Westbrook has denied having a drug relapse after a string of troubling messages were posted on her Twitter account.
Fans of the former EastEnders actress were left concerned for her well-being after she shared a photo from her hospital bed on Wednesday morning (3 August). However, things took a sinister turn when she confessed to having a "gear stash in my bra". Another messages read: "I am covering my nose because it is falling apart AGAIN because of my relapse" while another tweet suggested she "pregnant and hormonal".
Considering her well-documented history of drug abuse, fans were left shocked by the online outpouring and urged her to seek help believing she was in bad a state. The actress's addiction started at the age of 14 when she tried cocaine for the first time. Because of her £400-a day addiction in the late 1990s, Westbrook was sacked from her role as Sam Mitchell on EastEnders.
However the 42-year-old set the record straight, claiming a "stalker" is trying to "ruin" her life. The star wrote: "Who ever is on my Twitter your sick I'm not on drugs! I'm very ill with a blood infection."
On Twitter, Westbrook revealed details of her stalking ordeal, saying she felt scared and alone. She also said she would make a complaint to the police and posted the reason for her hospital visit on the social media site:
"I have an infection in my blood and I'm very poorly! I have been in hospital YES!" The reality star then, showed evidence by posting a photo of herself cuddling up to boyfriend George Arnold, 24.

"This stalker is absolutely trying to ruin my life, taking pictures through the windows of my house", she explained. "I've had to sell my car. Kent Medway Police have done nothing to help in two weeks, I'm still waiting for them to come out and take a report."
She concluded: "Just so you know, I'm closing my Twitter down so any message you get from here on out after this will not be from me, it'll be from the person who's got my details."
Fans soon rallied around the star, offering messages of support. "@rouxjewellery @westbrookdanni stay strong mate x" one said.
